"Anti-Shock" Air Release Valves Vacuum Break Valves for Potable Water
Combination air release and vacuum break valves perform three specific functions to achieve automatic air venting in water pipelines and networks. The Vent-O-Mat® valve accomplishes all these functions, PLUS the additional surge alleviation – all in one chamber.
- High capacity air discharge during pipeline filling
- High volume air intake for vacuum break purposes, both during draining of water pipelines and/or column separations
- Controlled pressurized air discharge to release air when pipelines are fully charged
- Surge relief preventing pipeline bursts during pump trip and rapid pipeline filling
Correct Air Valve selection assures effective de-aeration and leads to a reduction in water hammer, frequency of bulk water pipeline repairs, lower pump station power consumption, and higher efficiency in the water distribution pipelines as well as gravity mains, all of which translates to lower operating cost.
